Obituary for Robert Huffer
Robert Atlee Huffer, 80, a resident of Annapolis, MD for fifty-seven years, died on April 30, 2017, at his home after a six-month battle with cancer. Born on July 8, 1936, in Baltimore, MD to the late Atlee and Ruth Huffer, Robert was a 1955 graduate of Annapolis High School and also attended the University of Maryland. He served in the U.S. Air Force and was retired from the Anne Arundel County Board of Education where he was a senior buyer. After retiring, he worked part time at Napa Auto Parts. Robert was a member of American Legion Post Post 7, the Bowie Elks Lodge, the Broadneck Elks Lodge and the Annapolis Moose Lodge. He enjoyed flying model airplanes and NASCAR. He is survived by his loving wife, Emily Huffer; his children, Brian Huffer and Katherine Brady both of Edgewater, MD; his stepsons, Rusty and Ricky Miller both of Annapolis, MD; his sisters, Janet Zadera of Annapolis, MD and Alice Howze and Sharon Meyers both of Florida. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 3 at 1 pm at the Annapolis Moose Lodge, 1890 Crownsville Rd, Annapolis, MD.
