ryan Matthew O’Hare, 39, a 15-year resident of Ellicott City, passed away on April 28, 2017. Born on September 14, 1977 in Silver Spring, MD to Joseph and Laura O’Hare, Bryan grew up in Laurel. He attended DeMatha High School for a year before transferring and graduating from Pallotti High School. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Salisbury University where he joined the Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity. Bryan partnered with his father as a freight broker in their company, QuoteYourFreight.com.
An avid sports fan, Bryan “lived and breathed” Maryland sports, particularly Maryland basketball and football as well as the Baltimore Orioles and Washington Redskins.
In addition to his parents, Bryan is survived by his sisters, Jennifer and Katie O’Hare. Friends are invited to celebrate Bryan’s life with his family from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 3 at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD and again at St. Mary of the Mills Catholic Church, 106 St. Mary’s Place, Laurel, MD on Thursday, May 4 from 10 a.m. until a Mass of Christian Burial is offered at 11a.m. Inurnment in the church cemetery will be scheduled at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, and in honor of Bryan, the family requests memorial contributions be sent to St. Vincent Pallotti High School, 113 St. Mary's Place, Laurel, MD 20707 or St. Mary of the Mill School, (for a student in need 2017-2018) 106 St. Mary's Place, Laurel, MD 20707.
