onald Ray O'Bryhim, Sr., "Donnie Ray", a lifelong resident of Maryland, died on Tuesday, December 15, 2015. He was 64.
Born June 9, 1951 in Washington, D.C., he was employed as an electrician for State of Maryland since 1980. Donald began singing at the age of five and was the lead singer in many bands, as well as playing rhythm guitar. He was a member of the Annapolis Moose Lodge and the American Legion in Crownsville. Donald enjoyed cars, golf, music and the Washington Redskins. He also enjoyed watching NASCAR and was a fan of Tony Stewart.
He was preceded in death by two children, John Peyton Hanback and Heather Marie O'Bryhim.
Donald is survived by his wife, Deborah "Debbie" A. O'Bryhim; five children, D.J. O'Bryhim of Rockledge, FL, Rob Vetters of Elkridge, MD, Brian Hamby of Baltimore, MD, Andrea "Jean" Fitzpatrick of Glen Burnie, MD and Denise Fitzgerald of Hurlock, MD; five siblings, Joe, John and Jimmy O'Bryhim, Marina Bass and Terri Gossett; and 12 grandchildren.
Friends may call at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD on Saturday, December 19 from 12 to 2pm and 4pm until Donald's funeral service begins at 6pm. Interment private. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mooseheart, c/o Annapolis Moose Lodge #296, 1890 Crownsville Road, Annapolis, Maryland 21401.
