ary Ann O’Donnell, 87, of Annapolis, MD passed away peacefully in her sleep on June 20, 2018. Born on September 3,1930 in Fargo, ND to the late William Paul and Katherine McMullen Murphy, Mary Ann graduated from Rutland High School and attended Worchester School of Business Sciences. She married William "Bill' O'Donnell in Rutland, MA in 1950 and later worked for the Department of the Navy and the Department of the Army. She retired from the Federal Government in 1990 as a Budget Analyst. After retirement she worked at the Navy Memorial in Washington, DC. Mary Ann was a longtime member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Fleet Reserve Association, Branch 67 where she served numerous times as President. She was the Regional East Coast President from 1983-1984. Mary Ann was also a member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church in Annapolis. She loved traveling the world as the quintessential Navy wife. Mary Ann was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" O'Donnell and her brothers, Robert G. and William P. Murphy. Mary Ann is survived by her children, Michael O’Donnell of Huntingtown, MD and Katherine (Roger) Knadle of Annapolis, MD; her grandchildren, Michael, Robin, Kelly, Bill, Kerri and Robert and her great-grandchildren Kahlil, Kian and Willow. Graveside service and interment will be held at 2 PM on Tuesday, July 24 at Arlington National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the St. Mary’s Restoration and Maintenance Fund, 109 Duke of Gloucester St., Annapolis, MD 21401.
