Patrick O'Toole - Obituary

ohn Patrick “Pat” O’Toole, 68, a resident of Annapolis Roads for more than eight years and previously of Columbia, MD, died on Sunday, April 6 at his residence, one year after being diagnosed with esophageal cancer. Born on April 3, 1946 to the late John and Rose O’Toole, Pat was a State Farm Agent in Silver Spring, MD from 1977 until his retirement in 2012. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, reading, chess, yoga, meditation and living life to the fullest. In addition to his parents, Pat was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas R. O’Toole. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Barbara Sue “Susie” O’Toole; son, John Byron (Elaina) O’Toole of Annapolis, MD; daughter, Jennifer Rebecca (Brian) Krebs of Annandale, VA; brothers, Michael J. O’Toole of Welcome, MD and Stephen A. O’Toole of Orange Park, FL; grandson, John Byron O’Toole, Jr. and granddaughter, Reagan Rose O’Toole both of Annapolis, MD. Friends are invited to Pat’s Life Celebration from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm on Friday, April 11 at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9 am on Saturday, April 12 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 109 Duke of Gloucester St., Annapolis, MD. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, 5505 Hopkins Bayview Cir., Ste. 100, Baltimore, MD 21224.
