egina "Jean" Marie O'Brien, a 3-year resident of Annapolis and previously of Brooklyn, NY, died at Anne Arundel Medical Center on January 28, 2014 after a short illness. She was 91.
Born March 22, 1922 in Brooklyn, NY, she worked as an executive secretary for the Bell Telephone Company.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward O'Brien; a sister, Dorothy O'Leary; three brothers, Joseph, John and Gerard Curtin; and two nephews, John Curtin and John Brungot.
Jean is survived by her sister-in-law, Agnes Curtin; and her 16 nieces and nephews, Christine (George) Brungot, Stephen (Mary Dee) Curtin, Gerard (Ann) Curtin, James (Joann) Curtin, Robert Curtin, Loretta (John) Maiorano, Rosemary (Rudy) Dujnic, John (Susan) Curtin, Kathleen (Mitch) Mageo, Mary Pat (Dave) Wahlgreen, Paul Curtin, Kevin (Cathy) O'Leary, David (Dena) O'Leary, Regina (Jeff) O'Leary-Nurge, Maureen (Bill) Kinnear and Erin O'Leary.
Friends are invited to a Life Celebration at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater on Saturday, February 8 from 3:00pm until time of Jean's memorial service at 5:00pm. Interment private.
