Thomas Francis Xavier O'Brien - Obituary

f Forestville, MD on April 10, 2014; born on March 16, 1927 in Bayonne, NJ; beloved husband of Maria Isabel nee Casanova; devoted father of George, Martin Sean and James; grandfather of Phillip, Emily, Andrew and Aidan. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, in-laws and other relatives and friends. A Korean War Veteran, Tom continued to serve his country during a 32-year career as a chemist and manager with the Federal Bureau of Engraving and Printing. Tom was a well-read, well traveled man of outstanding intellect, deep faith and great generosity. Relatives and friends are invited to Tom's Life Celebration on Monday, April 14 from 6:30 to 8:30pm at the GEORGE P. KALAS FUNERAL HOME, 6160 Oxon Hill Rd., Oxon Hill, MD and on Tuesday, April 15 from 10am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am at Mt. Calvary Catholic Church, 6700 Marlboro Pike, Forestville, MD. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
