Adam Benjamin Schneider - Obituary

W

e are not defined by the length of our life, but rather the depth of our life. Taken from us far too soon, Adam Benjamin Schneider was just approaching the deepest parts of life’s journey. Adam passed suddenly on Saturday, February 27th, 2021. Adam was a kind, happy, compassionate, and resilient son, brother, cousin, and friend. Adam was always ready to lend a helping hand. Adam’s younger sister Sophie loved that her brother had her name tattooed on his wrist as a sign of their forever bond. Adam loved his little sister, and he was very protective of her. They were best friends. He adored his baby sister Sophie; and strived to always make his parents proud. He loved his family fiercely. He loved attending car shows with his Pop-pop Clive Sonde and Ita Vicky. He idolized his Pop-pop and drew great comfort and pride from their relationship and love of corvettes. Also, he loved fishing with his Poppy Sidney Schneider. He went on many adventures with his grandparents Gayle and Sid. He loved eating New York bagels that Aunt Diane Sonde brought for every visit. Adam loved hanging out in Brooklyn with his G-d parents Diane and Larry. He loved his Titi Anna Rodriguez who showered him with lots of love and made him his favorite meals when he was a child. He loved his au pair Simona Jiraskova-Melendez who played with him and helped raise him. Adam had a very special relationship with his cousins Andrea and Neal Kursban who always showed up whenever he needed a set of “on-call cool parents.” Adam shared some of the strongest bonds with his cousins, who were more like brothers and sisters. Whether that was playing video games, going to Ocean City, or sleepovers in the basement, our family will forever cherish every moment together. Adam was the most loyal friend. He enjoyed having a great time, making others laugh, and was always ready for an adventure. Adam loved and cared for so many, but his heart belonged to his girlfriend Paige Jones and their puppy Miley. They spent many nights planning their future endeavors and being each other’s rock. He loved playing sports especially lacrosse, basketball, soccer, and ice hockey. He especially loved reading detective novels. He had a passion for skateboards, dirt bikes, cars, and motorcycles. He was looking forward to buying a new motorcycle. Adam enjoyed working in the construction and automotive fields. Adam is survived by his parents, Rikki and Andrew Schneider, sister, Sophie Schneider, and grandparents, Victoria Sonde, Gayle Schneider, and Sidney Schneider. He is predeceased by his Grandfather Clive Sonde and Uncle Robert Sonde. He is also survived by aunts and uncles, Darlene and David Gruner Jr, Tina Sonde, Doug Schemmel, Stefanie Whalen, Diane Sonde and Larry O’Neill, Ted Sonde, and Susan Sonde. Adam is also survived by his many cousins: Tara, David, Tommy, Amy, Timmy, Chris, Danny, Steven, Annie, Marley, Sammy, Hana, Jacob, Lillian, and Ethan. Adam is survived by his long-time partner Paige Jones and family. Forever in our HEARTS…
