Adrian Lee Joy - Obituary

drian Lee Joy, 86 a resident of Churchton, Md. and previously of Lusby Calvert County and Big Sandy, Tennessee, passed away on February 9, 2026 at Hospice of the Chesapeake in Pasadena, MD. Adrian was born in Lusby, MD on October 18, 1939 to the late William and Lillian Joy, He graduated from high school in Calvert County before embarking on a career in law enforcement. He was an officer with the Annapolis City Police Department and became Sheriff of Calvert County, MD for 19 years. Adrian loved being on the Chesapeake Bay chartering fishing trips aboard the Sneaky Snake. He was a member of the Maryland Charter Boat Association, Southern Maryland Charter Boat Association and the Maryland Sheriff’s Association. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who designed, made and sold his own hand made fishing lures. He also enjoyed wood carving and gardening. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his long time partner, Linda Rogers. Interment will be held in Hillcrest Cemetery in Annapolis, Md. alongside his life partner Linda Rogers. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Adrian’s name may be made to Hospice of the Chesapeake, 90-D Ritchie Highway, Pasadena, MD 21122.
