Elmer "Pete' Aisquith Jr., 57, of Edgewater for 20 years and previously a longtime resident of Riva, died of lung cancer Jan. 10 after a brief illness.
Mr. Aisquith was born Feb. 8, 1950, in Annapolis to Anna Mae and Elmer "Skunky" Aisquith of Riva. He attended Southern High School.
He was a heavy equipment operator with Stockett's Excavating Co., Arnold Parreco & Sons, Inc. Excavating Co., Russel Brady Excavating Co. and D.R. McDonald & Sons Grain and Fertilizer Co.
He was a member of Eagles Aerie 622 of Annapolis and the Annapolis Moose Lodge 296.
He liked horse racing, golf and sports, and played baseball when he was younger.
Survivors include his wife of 21 years, Sandra L. Aisquith; one daughter, Jennifer Aisquith of Edgewater; one stepson, Robert Stallings of Davidsonville; one brother, Gary L. Aisquith of Annapolis; and one sister, Joanne Schneck of Riva.
Family and friends are invited to a celebration of his life from 6 to 8 p.m. tomorrow and from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road in Edgewater.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.
