lan “Chuck†Charles Juba of Annapolis, MD and previously of Crofton for 30 years, died at Anne Arundel Medical Center on September 30, 2008 after a brief illness. He was 47.
Born June 25, 1961 in Frankfurt, Germany to the late Lt. Colonel John and Elizabeth “Betty†Juba, and traveled the globe during his early years. He received a B.A. in Music from Anne Arundel Community College.
Chuck worked as a street performer in Annapolis for 7 years and was known as the “Guitar Guyâ€. He was a gifted guitar player and played in several garage bands, the most well known was Liquid Harmony, his tribute to his idol Jimmy Hendrix. His faithful companion was his Fender guitar, which he played for over 30 years.
Chuck is survived by his son Cody Juba of Annapolis, his daughters Alicia, Siri and Savannah Juba, all of Annapolis, MD, his brother John Juba of Alexandria, Va, sister Karen Thomas of Pagosa Springs, Colorado. Also survived by 1 granddaughter and friends, Joan Johnson, Tami Hook, Brian and Lisa Voith, Joseph Johnson and a host of friends and acquaintances too numerous to mention.
Friends are invited to Chuck's Life Celebration on Monday, October 6, 2008 from 10:30am until time of service at 11:30am at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home 2973 Solomons Island Rd. Edgewater, MD 21037. Interment Hillcrest Cemetery.
