Albert Ames - Obituary

lbert Alonza Ames, Jr., 77, died on Friday, July 10, 2015 at Georgetown University Hospital, Washington, DC. Albert was born on February 21, 1938 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Albert and Ernestine Ames. He was married to his wife, the late Shirley Ames on October 18, 1957. He served in the U.S. Air Force from February 1955 to December 11, 1957. He was a graduate of Strayer University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting in 1991. Albert held several retail managerial positions and was a computer maintenance technician for Digital Equipment Corporation. He is survived by his children, Michele Houge (Jeffrey Houge), Yvette Murphy, and Sarah Dick (Curtis Dick); his grandchildren, Terrell Watkins, Sr., (Nastasia Hazel-Watkins), Robert Branham, Nicole Branham, Domingo Copeland(Tiffany Copeland) and Monica Brown(Ellis Brown). He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends.
