******UPDATED SERVICE INFORMATION********* Albert Barton Crosby January 17, 1936 — January 14, 2026 Albert “Reds” Crosby died on January 14, 2026, due to complications from Parkinson’s Disease. Albert was born on January 17, 1936 in Eastport, Maryland. He graduated from Annapolis High School in 1954 and the University of Maryland in 1962. Albert served in the United States Marine Corps for 29 years. During that time, he completed 2 1/2 tours of duty in Vietnam, earning multiple decorations, including the Presidential Unit Citation and Navy Commendation Medal. Following his retirement, Albert earned a Business degree from Anne Arundel Community College in 1989. Albert worked as a Bank Examiner for the State of Maryland for 10 years. Albert and his wife loved spending time on their boat and traveling around the country in their motor home. They enjoyed taking overseas trips to explore Europe and Asia. Albert and his wife were avid University of Maryland fans attending football and basketball games. Albert was devoted to his family and attended his grandchildren’s extracurricular events whenever possible. His wife, Patricia, predeceased him in 2018. Albert is survived by three daughters, Lynne Teoman, Cindy Collins and her husband Patrick; Kathy Stith and her husband, Todd; six grandchildren, Elizabeth Teoman, Melissa Teoman, Chris Collins, Alex Collins and his wife Megan, Katie Collins, Todd C. Stith; and one great-granddaughter, Nayeli. Albert was preceded in death by his parents, James and Mildred Crosby. A Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday, February 7 from 12 - 3 p.m. at the Kalas Funeral Home & Crematory, 2973 Solomons Island Rd, Edgewater, Maryland. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the SPCA of Anne Arundel County in memory of Albert’s beloved pets, Major and Sandy.
