n Tuesday, October 22, 2013; the beloved husband of the late Mary H. Herbst; father of Richard(Jackie) and Carl(Betsy) Herbst and Anne (David) Whitten; brother of Gerald and Walter Herbst and Roberta Orta; grandfather of Daniel, Sara, Ariana, Alyssa, Erik, Kyle, Alex and Ben Herbst and Brena and Rebecca Whitten. Relatives and friends are invited to Al’s Life Celebration of Friday, November 15 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm at the GEORGE P. KALAS FUNERAL HOME, 6160 Oxon Hill Rd., Oxon Hill, MD. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 16 at 11 am at Our Saviour’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 4915 St. Barnabas Rd., Temple Hills, MD.
