Albert E. Johns - Obituary

Albert Ernest Johns, Jr., "Ernie", 71, of Edgewater, MD died on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at Johns Hopkins University Hospital in Baltimore, MD due to cancer. Born on March 28, 1946 in Ellicott City, MD, Ernie served in the Army National Guard of Maryland for six years. He later retired from the United States Naval Academy where he worked as a special events coordinator. Ernie enjoyed the Redskins, Orioles, Capitals, camping trips to Gettysburg, crab feasts, antique hunting and trips to Ocean City. He is survived by his children, Albert Ernest Johns, III and Stacey Lynn Dove both of Edgewater and his granddaughter, Taylor Dove. He was preceded in death by his brother, Joe Johns. Interment will be at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville, MD on Friday, July 28 at 1:00 pm. Condolences may be made by clicking the tab on this page.
