Albert A. Snyder, Jr. - Obituary

l Snyder passed away suddenly on July 27th, 2023, after a history of heart disease at age 77. He was born in Bridgeport, CT to Albert and Beverly Snyder. Al obtained his college degree at Fairfield University and later at, the University of Bridgeport, graduating with a MBA in Management. During the Vietnam era, he joined the US Army Infantry in Seoul, Korea, where he reached the E5 (Sergeant) in only 17 months. Al joined Ernst and Young’s Financial Management consulting division in Baltimore, MD in 1976, where he rose to the level of partner in seven years, before retiring in 1996. In 1976, Al married Cynthia Bayles of Fairfield, CT and the couple had three children: a son Jeffrey, and twin daughters, Debra and Donna. The marriage ended in divorce. In 1999, Al married Susan Kindschi of Rockville, MD. The couple settled in Edgewater, MD, close to the Chesapeake Bay, which was so beloved by the couple. Al is survived by his wife, Susan, his dogs Jessie and Zack, whom he treasured; brother, Peter (Linda) of Bloomfield, CO, sister Kathy Porter (Don) of Valley Center, CA, brother Michael (Mia) of Howard Beach, NY; his children, Jeffrey (Cynthia) of Redondo Beach, CA, Debra Hous- er (Chris) of Camp Hill, PA and Donna (Ray Colon) of Jessup, MD; his beloved grandchildren, Tyler and Justin Houser, and Avery and Alden Snyder. Services will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Edgewater, MD at 10 AM on Saturday, September 9th, 2023.
