Alexander John Lemanski “Al”, 80, a lifelong resident of Palmer, MA, died of cancer on Saturday, February 4, in Harwood, MD. He was born on April 15, 1931 in Palmer to the late Boleslaw and Alexandra Lemanski and graduated from Alliance College in Cambridge Springs, PA and attended Western New England College. After serving in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, Al made his career as a technical salesman for Warren Pumps, retiring in 1991.
 
He was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, St. Stan’s Club, the American Legion and served on the Finance Committee for the Town of Palmer. Al enjoyed gardening, building stone walls, puzzle-making, and held a deep devotion to the Blessed Mother and the Divine Mercy. He was an avid golfer and considered his two holes-in-one a proud achievement. He also loved to watch Boston sports with his dear niece, Lori Vaz.
 
Al is survived by his wife, Joanne; son, Michael (Pamela) Lemanski and daughter, Susan (Gerald Konkel) Lemanski both of Davidsonville, MD; two sisters, Sophie Lemanski of Three Rivers, MA and Teresa Kulina of Suffield, CT; six grandchildren, Benjamin, Elizabeth and Katherine Lemanski and Nathaniel Peter, Nicholas Kolbe and Alexandra Grace Lemanski Konkel; and numerous nieces and nephews.
 
Friends and family are invited to Al’s Life Celebration at Holy Family Catholic Church, 826 W. Central Avenue, Davidsonville, MD 21035 on Wednesday, February 8, from 9AM until a Mass of Christian Burial begins at 10AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hospice of the Chesapeake, 445 Defense Highway, Annapolis, MD 21401 or the Shrine of the Divine Mercy, 2 Prospect Hill Road Stockbridge, MA 01263.
