lfred "Fred" Bruno Giovinazzo, 88, a 16-year resident of Annapolis and previously of Temple Hills, died March 28.
Born December 2, 1924 in Tennessee, he worked for C&P Telephone Company and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers. Fred
served in the Army's 17th Airborne division in Europe during World War II.
Fred is survived by his wife, Mary Agnes Giovinazzo; three children,
Christina Giovinazzo of Columbia, Thomas Giovinazzo of Herndon, VA and Steven Giovinazzo of Davidsonville; five grandchildren, Jessica of Leesburg, VA, Christopher and Samantha of Herndon, VA, Gabrielle and Tyler of Davidsonville ; and three great-grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to Fred's Life Celebration from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, April 4 at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 12:30 p.m., Friday, April 5 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 826 W. Central Avenue, Davidsonville. Interment will be at Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Crownsville.
