Alfred Swanson - Obituary

lfred Avent Swanson, age 82, of Edgewater, died August 13, 2013 at Anne Arundel Medical Center. Alfred was a manager at Sears and Roebuck for thirty eight years. He served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He was a member of the Annapolis Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Annapolis. He was preceded in death by two brothers. Alfred is survived by his wife, Frances Joyce Swanson; two daughters, Susan Vroblesky of Arnold and Bonnie Seen of Spencer, WV and 8 grandchildren. Friends are invited to Alfred's Life Celebration from 6 to 8 pm on Thursday, August 15 at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater . Graveside service and interment will be held at 11:30 am on Friday, August 16 at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery, 1122 Sunrise Beach Road, Crownsville. A Memorial Service will be held at 3 pm on Saturday, August 17 at the Evangelical Presbyterian Church of Annapolis, 710 Ridgely Ave., Annapolis.
