Alice Long - Obituary

lice D. Long, 80, a 12-year resident of Annapolis, MD and previously of Clinton, MD, died of Parkinson's Disease and dementia on July, 10, 2009 at La Casa Assisted Living in Annapolis, MD. Alice was primarily a homemaker, but early in life she worked as a clerk for the F.B.I. and at Woodward and Lothrop in Iverson Mall. She was a member of the Retired Members Club of IBEW Local 26, St. John Neumann Catholic Church in Annapolis, MD and Heritage Harbour Community Association. Alice especially loved her grandchildren and spending time with them. She was the beloved wife of Eugene S. Long; mother of Kathy (Mike) Timmins of Harwood, MD; sister of Richard (Sandy) Malone of Clearwater, FL and the late Connie Malone. She is also survived by four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Friends are invited to Alice's Life Celebration at the GEORGE P. KALAS FUNERAL HOME, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD on Tuesday, July 14 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Wednesday, July 15 at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 620 Bestgate Road, Annapolis, MD at 9:30am. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
