Alice Pounds - Obituary

lice Jane Pounds, 72, a 22-year resident of Lothian, died on November 24, 2008 of natural causes. She was born in Washington, DC on February 23, 1936 to the late John and Laura Ringer. She was a Food Service Worker for the Prince Georges County School System from which she retired in 1996. She was a member of the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in Lothian and enjoyed traveling. She is survived by her husband, Eugene Pounds, whom she married in October 1955; her children: Eugene C. Pounds, Jr. and Mark Pounds of Brandywine, MD, Steve Pounds of Marlton in Upper Marlboro, MD, and Karen Holdsworth of Lothian, MD; and two brothers: Walter Ringer of Reistertown, MD and Paul Ringer of Phoenix, AZ. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Funeral services are private.
