A

llen Leonard Talbot, age 89, of Port Orange, FL and formerly of Annapolis, Maryland passed away in his home surrounded by those he loved on Monday, November 9, 2009. Allen was born December 21, 1919 in Annapolis, Maryland to Mobrey and Elizabeth Talbot. He was a WWII veteran of the US Army and dedicated years of his talents as an Inspector for the US Naval Ship Yard in Annapolis, MD. Mr. Talbot was a proud member of the VFW Post 304, The Chapel of Faith Church, Daytona Beach, FL, a lifetime member of the Elks Club of Port Orange, FL and for many years a Deacon at College Ave Baptist Church in MD. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, Church activities, but most of all spending time with his family and friends. He will best be remembered as a loving man with a kind word or action for all that knew him. He was the devoted father of Carol Beall and her husband Paul of Port Orange, FL; brother of Edwin Talbot of Summerfield, FL; grandfather of Katherine Brady, Lesa Barber and Brian Huffer. He is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren and 9 1/2 great-great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by his parents, 2 sisters; Katherine Trott, and France Martinis both of Annapolis, MD and his beloved wife of 59 years Hazel Talbot. Friends are invited to Allen's Life Celebration at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD on Monday, November 16, 2009 from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm, where services will be held on Tuesday, November 17 at 1pm. Interment Hillcrest Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family request donation in his name to Hospice of the Chesapeake, 445 Defense Highway, Annapolis, MD 21401.
