Alvin Felmey - Obituary

lvin E. Felmey, 87, of Edgewater, died Oct. 11 at the South River Health and Rehabilitation Center in Edgewater. Mr. Felmey, known as “Gene,” was born June 16, 1920, in Winfield, Pa. He worked with General Motors Co. in Baltimore for 35 years and previously lived in Glen Burnie before moving to Edgewater. He served in the Navy during WW II. He enjoyed hiking and being outdoors. Survivors include one son, Mark E. Felmey of Ellicott City; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was married in 1953 to Mary J. Felmey who died in 2000. He had eight brothers and eight sisters with three surviving. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. tomorrow at New Cathedral Cemetery, 4300 Old Frederick Road, Baltimore.
