Alvin Gheen - Obituary

lvin L. “Al” Gheen, age 83, a 16 year resident of Edgewater and previously of College Park, died at his residence on August 20, 2021. He was born in Virginia on August 29, 1937, was the owner of College Park Tree Service for 49 years and enjoyed classic cars and NASCAR. Al is survived by his children; Ricky (Sherri) Gheen of Edgewater, Dennis (Terry) Gheen of Edgewater, Linda (Tony) Schweiss of Edgewater and Jennifer (Mike) Greene of Lothian; his sister, Dorothy Payne of Frederick; eight grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Linda G. Gheen, and four siblings. Family and friends may call on Wednesday, August 25 from 5-8 PM at Kalas Funeral Home and Crematory, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, where a funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 26 at 10 AM. Entombment to follow at Lakemont Memorial Gardens.
