Amparo Soriano Rosario - Obituary

mparo Soriano Rosario, age 86, of Ft. Washington, MD passed away on Tuesday, July 12, 2022. Amparo was predeceased by her father Victoriano Rosario, Sr.; mother, Demetria Rosario; sisters, Remedios Rosario, Teresita Rosario Abacan and Milagros Rosario; brother, Alejandro Rosario. She is survived by her sister, Concepcion Rosario Bravo of Ft. Washington, MD; brother, Victoriano Rosario, Jr.; nieces, Tersalee Rosario Abacan-Gritz of Brambleton, VA, Anna Rosario and Dana Khademi of Toronto, Canada; nephews, Roel Abacan, Ronaldo Abacan of Woodbridge, VA, Alan Rosario and Alex Rosario of Toronto, Canada; great nieces, Caitlin Gritz of Brambleton, VA, Nicole, Alanna, Rosario and Ava of Toronto, Canada; great nephews, Matthew, Sean and Kian of Toronto, Canada. Amparo worked as an Executive Secretary for the International Monetary Fund for over thirty years. As part of her job, she got to travel around the world to countries such as Sri Lanka and Thailand just to name a few. Prior to working for the IMF, she worked at the World Health Organization. She enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing, crocheting and music. She had a great sense of humor and was always willing to help others in need. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Amparo’s life on Monday, July 18, 2022, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Kalas Funeral Home & Crematory, 6160 Oxon Hill Rd., Oxon Hill, Maryland 20745. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, July 19, 2022, at 10:00am at St. Columba Catholic Church, 7800 Livingston Rd., Oxon Hill, Maryland 20745. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
