Ana Efa Alvarez - Obituary

na Efa Alvarez, 65, of Fort Washington, Maryland, passed away on October 7, 2023. Ana, born in the Philippines, was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother to her family. She is survived by her husband, Tony, four children and in-laws, and five grandchildren. She was the role model of many who have known and loved her. Unbeknownst to many, she bravely faced her sickness and endured pain for many years, but still exuded benevolence and devotion to her family, relatives, friends and even to those whom she did not know personally. A warmhearted servant of God, she and her husband were members of Couples for Christ and a parishioner of St. Columba Catholic Church. She was a dedicated teacher for the past 3 years at Crossland High School in Prince George’s County, and taught at Basset High School and Laurel Park Middle School in Virginia for 4 and 11 years, respectively. Relatives and friends are invited to Ana's Life Celebration on Tuesday, October 10th, from 2-8 pm at Kalas Funeral Home located at 6160 Oxon Hill Road, 20745.
