Andrew Acton - Obituary

ndrew “Andy” F. Acton, Jr., 61, a 23-year resident of Edgewater, MD died on February 1, 2010 at his home of natural causes. Born on March 4, 1948 in Brooklyn, NY, Andy spent most of his early years living in Brooklyn. During the Vietnam War, Andy served in the US Army and after being discharged he worked in the banking business for many years. Andy loved spending time with his family. He was the beloved husband of Teresa L. Acton; father of Frank Acton of Glen Burnie, MD; grandfather of Andrew F. Acton, Jr. of Glen Burnie, MD; brother of Joan Block of Florida and Barbara Oldenbuttel of New York; father-in-law of Regina Acton of Glen Burnie, MD. Friends are invited to Andy's Life Celebration at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD on Friday, February 5 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Interment on Monday, February 8 at 10:45am at Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville, MD. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1041 Route 3 N, Bldg A, Gambrills, MD 21054.
