Angel Pete Bounelis - Obituary

ngel Pete Bounelis, 97, a lifelong resident of Annapolis, died of natural causes on Thursday, January 30 at his home. Born on December 7, 1927 in Annapolis to the late Pete and Effie Bounelis, Angel graduated from Annapolis High School and served in the U.S. Navy. After being honorably discharged from the Navy as a Seaman 1st Class he worked at the Harbour House restaurant for many years. Angel was a proud Greek American and was a member of Ss. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church. In his spare time, he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandson. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Vasiliki Bounelis; his son, Pete (Michelle) Bounelis of Timonium, MD and his grandson, Gabriel Bounelis. Friends are invited to celebrate Angel’s life on Tuesday, February 4, from 4 to 6 pm at the Kalas Funeral Home & Crematory, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 5, at 11 am at Ss. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church, 2747 Riva Road, Annapolis, MD.
