Angela Theresa Butland - Obituary

ngela Theresa Butland, 71, of Odenton passed away on Monday, February 27, 2017. Angela was born on September 16, 1945 in Washington, DC to the late Steve and Louise Averinos. She was a graduate of Ballou High School in S.E. Washington. Angela was retired from the healthcare field where she worked as a medical billing specialist. She was a member of Mt. Zion Church of Lothian where she was President of the Adult Fellowship Group. Angela also enjoyed bowling, ceramics and traveling. She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Robert D. Butland; three sons, Robert (Celine) of Potomac, Bryan of Dallas, TX, Michael (Keeley) of Rolesville, NC; three grandchildren, Shawn, Angela, and Steven; one great-granddaughter, Amelia ; and sister, Catherine Averinos-Hitt of Glen Burnie. Friends are invited to celebrate Angela's life on Thursday, March 2 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD, where a funeral service will be held on Friday March 3 at 9:30 am, interment will follow at Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Crownsville, MD.
