Angeline Terrizzi - Obituary

ngeline Terrizzi, a resident of Sunrise of Severna Park and formerly of Washington, DC, passed away Friday, September 24, 2010. She was born May 30, 1918 in Anita, PA and was the daughter of the late Angelo and Josephine Mondi. Angie grew up in Barnesboro, PA (Northern Cambria) with her parents and eight brothers and sisters. She married Tony J. Terrizzi in 1946. They moved quite frequently due to his military career before settling in Washington, DC in 1963. She worked at the Sears Roebuck & Co. on Alabama Avenue in Southeast Washington for 15 years and continued living in the District until moving to Severna Park in 2004. Mrs. Terrizzi was very active with the Ladies Guild and Sodality at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. Her hobbies included crafts of all kinds, sewing, cake decorating and reading. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1987; her sister, Frances Mondi and her brothers, Frank and Joseph Renda and Larry Mondi. She is survived by two daughters, Toni Thomas of Edgewater and Joanne Lang of Severna Park; two sisters, Edith Mondi of Barnesboro, PA and Josephine Neri of Hanover, PA and twin brothers, Dominic Mondi of Brighton, MI and Angelo Mondi of Barnesboro, PA as well as five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Friends are invited to Angeline’s Life Celebration at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD 21037 on Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday, September 28, at 11 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church, 689 Ritchie Highway, Severna Park, MD 21146. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
