Angelo Nicholas Ladas - Obituary

ngelo “Ange” Nicholas Ladas, 89, a 40-year resident of Shady Side, Maryland and previously of Washington, DC died on Sunday, March 29, 2009, at his residence. Born Tuesday, September 23, 1919 in Washington, DC, he was the husband of the late Eunice Ladas, who died in June of 1981. He served as a Tec 4 in the Army from 1945 until 1946. He graduated from Roosevelt High School in Washington, DC and was employed as a project manager at Season All in Landover, MD. Mr. Ladas was a member of the Elks and he enjoyed woodworking. Beloved brother of Stacey Karydakis of Bethesda, MD; uncle of James Garoufes of Placitas, NM, Demetra Relos of Annandale, VA, Theone Relos of Silver Spring, MD and David Relos of Las Vegas, NV; he was predeceased by sisters, Anne Relos and Gladys Garoufes. Friends are invited to Ange's Life Celebration from 10:30 AM until time of funeral service at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 3, 2009, at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, Maryland. Interment Cedar Hill Cemetery, Suitland, MD.
