nna Frances Flanagan, 70, a 44-year resident of Edgewater, MD and previously of Cumberland, MD died suddenly at Anne Arundel Medical Center on September 4, 2009.
Born November 17, 1938 in Cumberland, MD, she graduated from Flintstone High School in 1956 and attended Catherine's Business School in Cumberland, MD. She was employed as an administrative assistant in customer relations for District Photo, Inc. in Beltsville, MD. She was baptized as a Jehovah's Witness at the International Convention in New York City, NY in 1958. Anna was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Annapolis South and formerly of Cumberland, MD. Her hobbies included collecting elephants, reading, history and singing.
She was beloved wife of Donald E. Flanagan, whom she married on December 14, 1956; mother of Dale R. Flanagan of Palatka, FL, Nancy Eyler of Harwood, MD, Sally Flanagan of Edgewater, MD and the late Charles R. Flanagan, who died on December 29, 2006; sister of Robert Rinker of Palm Coast, FL and Sally Levan of Palatka, FL; also survived by 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, September 7, 2009 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Annapolis South, 65 Tarragon Lane, Edgewater, MD at 1:30pm. Interment private. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Crownsville Assembly Hall Building Project, 1200 Sunrise Beach Rd, Crownsville, MD 21032-1420.
