Anna Horan - Obituary

nna Nancy Horan, “Nancy”, a 40-year resident of Bowie, died on September 15, 2013 at the Mandrin Center in Harwood, Maryland. She was 85. Nancy was born in Liverpool, England on September 2, 1928 to the late Henry Ainscough and Gertrude Rossiter. She immigrated to the United States in 1955 where she became a citizen. She was a Navy wife and homemaker for 20 years and then worked as a receptionist for Sisk Mailing Service for over 10 years. She enjoyed gardening, taking care of her cats, visiting her family in England and spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by a daughter, Lisa Marie Pike and her husband Jeffrey Riter Pike of Dunkirk; a sister, Winifred Lambert of Liverpool, England; two grandsons, Brian Michael and his fiance Stephanie Farmer, Joseph Alan Henshaw of Millersville; 3 step grand children, Madeleine Pike, Spencer Pike and Gabriel Pike of Vienna, Virginia; and several nieces and nephews of England. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, Tuesday, September 24 at 10:00am at Jesus the Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 1601 W Mt. Harmony Road, Owings, MD.
