Anna Lowe - Obituary

nna H. Lowe, 92, a resident of Annapolis since World War II, died of natural causes May 21 at Spa Creek Center in Annapolis. Mrs. Lowe was born Aug. 10, 1915, in Rose Hill, Va. She retired in 1977 from Crownsville State Hospital after 27 years. She enjoyed making quilts, doing crafts, travelling and working in her flower garden. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Lester "Pete" Lowe, who died in 1986. Survivors include two sons, Billy Lowe of Annapolis and Rick Lowe of Aurora, Colo.; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Family and friends may join in the celebration of her life from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road in Edgewater. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of the Chesapeake, 445 Defense Highway, Annapolis, MD 21401 or to the Spa Creek Center, 35 Milkshake Lane, Annapolis, MD 21403.
