Anna Mistretta - Obituary

n Saturday December 31, 2011, after visiting with her family during the Holiday Season, Anna passed away peacefully in the loving hands of caregivers at The Hermitage in Solomons, MD. The beloved wife of the late Salvatore A. Mistretta; mother of Anna Marie Mistretta Lenck of Temple Hills, MD and Sarasota, FL, Charles H. Mistretta, Sr. of Scotland, MD and Charlotte Mistretta Bradley of Ann Arbor, MI. Anna is also survived by a brother, Elmer P. Talbert of Ormond Beach, FL, eight grandchildren and seven great- grandchildren. She was born in Oxon Hill, MD and spent her life there raising her children and serving the community. She was a substitute teacher, Pres. of the PTA, Pres. of the Henson Valley Republican Women, active with her husband in the Lions Club, and devoted member of St. Barnabas Episcopal Church where she served on the vestry, was in the choir, and a member of the Ladies of St. Barnabas. Family and friends are invited To Anna's Life Celebration on Thursday, January 5 from 10am until service time at 11am at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church, 5203 St. Barnabas Rd. Temple Hills, MD 20748. Interment Washington National Cemetery. Immediately following the interment there will be a luncheon in the church hall for family and friends.
