nna Mary Prescott, 87, of Annapolis passed away Friday, March 19, 2010 of natural causes at The John & Arloine Mandrin Chesapeake Hospice House in Harwood, Maryland. Anna was born June 2, 1922 in Shamokin, PA, a daughter of the late Louis and Anna (Objeizenski) Kazar. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Prescott. Previously married to William D. Rector, Sr. also deceased. Anna was a member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church in Annapolis. She was a resident of the Heritage Harbour Community since 1991. Previously, her home was in Whitestone, New York and before that Brooklyn Park, MD. She enjoyed walking in her neighborhood and local parks with friends, crocheting Afghans and donating them to raise money for charities; bingo and trips to the casinos. She is retired from Westinghouse Electric Corporation, Baltimore and EDO Corporation, New York where she worked as an electronic assembler. She also worked for a short time at the Maryland Dry-dock Shipbuilding Company during WW2. Surviving are one daughter, Frances Cook of Annapolis; one son, David Rector of Annapolis; two grand-children, Allison Rector Maroclo and Taylor Rector; two great-grandchildren, Logan Maroclo and Jack Maroclo; one brother Daniel Kazar of Sunbury, PA; and two sisters, Verna Hoszowski of Bath, PA and Frances Balsavage of Sunbury, PA. Friends are invited to Anna's Life Celebration at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD on Tuesday, March 23 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and on Wednesday, March 24 from 10:00 a.m. until funeral service begins at 11:00 a.m. Interment Cedar Hill Cemetery, Brooklyn Park, MD.
