nna May Walter, 81, an 11-year resident of Denton and previously of Riva, MD, passed away on October 10, 2017. Born on October 29, 1935 in Washington, DC to the late Peter and Elsie Duran, Anna enjoyed playing the slots, bowling, camping, crabbing and puppies. She worked for several years as a bartender at the Annapolis Bowl but her family was her passion and spending time with them was her greatest joy. Anna is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, James Walter; seven children, Greg Marks of Denton, Terri Fogle of Fairfield, PA, Joe Marks of Crofton, MD, Jimmy Marks of Denton, Mark (Joy) Walter of Naponis, IN, Wayne (Melissa) Walter of Stuart, FL and Richard Walter of Daytona Beach, FL; 12 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Friends are invited to celebrate Anna’s life with her family from 12 to 2 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, October 15 at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 12 p.m. on Monday, October 16 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 515 Loch Haven Road, Edgewater. Burial at Lakemont Memorial Gardens.
