Anne Marie Santoiemma - Obituary

nne Marie Santoiemma, 77, died February 2 at her home in Lothian. She was born on January 8, 1937 in Niagra Falls, NY to the late Anthony and Esther Conte. After graduating from high school, Anne Marie married Caesar C. Santoiemma in May 1954 and began an almost 60-year vocation as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. In addition to her parents, Anne Marie was preceded in death by her brother Nick Conte. She is survived by her husband, Caesar; four children, Mary Esther (Carlo) DiGiovannantonio of Waldorf, John A. (Michelle) Santoiemma of Deale, Anthony Santoiemma of Lothian and Laura (Eric) Roozen of Fort Washington; three brothers, Joe, Anthony and David Conte of Lothian; two sisters, Rosalie Van Wie and Mary Esther Finamore both of Lothian; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Friends are invited to Anne Marie’s Life Celebration from 10 a.m. until a Mass of Christian Burial is offered at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, February 5 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 101 Owensville Road, West River, MD 20778. Interment will be in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church. An online guestbook is available by accessing the link above.
