Anne McCoy Vickery - Obituary

nne McCoy Vickery, 86, a resident of Annapolis, MD for twenty-one years, died of natural causes on Sunday, November 7 at her home. Anne was born on October 29, 1935, in Evanston, IL to the late Robert K.W. McCoy and Mary Henderson Roesing. Anne was a professional musician and guitar teacher, a member of the Junior League of Buffalo, NY, and the American Kennel Club. She enjoyed reading, raising Setters and Spaniels and Jazz and Folk music. Anne was the beloved wife, of the late James Cutler Vickery, Jr.; mother of William Cutler Vickery and Katherine Vickery Halsey, both of Ojai, CA and James Cutler Vickery III of Annapolis, MD; sister of Kathy Marinovich of Boonton, NJ and Robert McCoy of Huntsville, AL; grandmother of Comfort, Bronwen, Melissa, Phoebe, Colin, Sasha and the late Brooke and Sara. She is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren. Anne will be interred at Arlington National Cemetery with her late husband, James, at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the SPCA of Anne Arundel Co., 1915 Bay Ridge Ave., Annapolis, MD 21403.
