nnette S. Colbert, 60, a thirty seven year resident of Edgewater, died on Wednesday, May 14 at the Mandrin Inpatient Care Center in Harwood after a 13 month battle with acute lymphatic leukemia. Born on October 3, 1953 in Washington, D.C., Annette earned a B.S. degree in Elementary Education from the University of Maryland. She taught for 2 years at the Arlington Baptist School and was a full time homemaker for the rest of her life. At the age of 12, Annette began playing the organ publicly at venues such as the Department of Justice and local malls. She also played organ and piano at church, sang in the choir and had several sacred songs published. She was a member of Anchor Baptist Church for 18 years and recently became a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Glen Burnie. She enjoyed music, antique collecting but most enjoyed being with her family. Annette was preceded in death by her husband of 31 years, Rick Colbert, and her father, Samuel Seaton. She is survived by a son, Micah Colbert of Buffalo, NY; two daughters, Carie Anne Reverski of Catonsville and Camarie Colbert of Edgewater; her mother, Mary Seaton of Edgewater; a brother, Samuel Seaton of Edgewater; five grandchildren, Mary Beth, Eleanor and Erick Reverski, Jr. of Catonsville, Clara Grace and Hudson Colbert of Buffalo, NY. Friends are invited to Annette’s Life Celebration from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9pm on Sunday, May 18 at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater. Funeral service will be held at 10am on Monday, May 19 at Faith Bible Church, 5810 Timberview Dr., Elkridge.
