Arline Lang - Obituary

rline M. Lang, nee McHugh, of Clarence, New York, died Wednesday, July 29, 2009 at the age of 92 at the home of her daughter, Jeanne Radcliffe of Edgewater, MD. Her son Robert Lang of Conyors, GA and her life long friend Aida Ryan of Buffalo, NY were also there with her. Daughter of Thomas and Mary McHugh nee Decker; daughter-in-law of William Lang and Carrie Lang nee Ball; beloved wife of William J. Lang; sister-in-law of Peter Lindsey, Helen Lindsey nee Lang and Mary Lindsey nee Bainbridge, all deceased. She was the mother of nine children, thirteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. Arline was a founding member of the Christian Family Movement in the Diocese of Buffalo and a pioneer of marriage education in Buffalo's parochial high schools. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to your local hospice. A wake is being arranged through Amigone Funeral Home in Williamsville, NY and a Memorial Mass will be held at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church in Williamsville, NY on Wednesday, August 26 at 10am with a reception immediately following Mass in the church hall.
