Arthur Bond Tayman - Obituary

rthur “Bond” Tayman, 85, a 46-year resident of Davidsonville, MD passed away on April 12, 2019 at his home. Bond was born on December 12, 1933 in Annapolis, MD to the late Arthur W. and Beatrice Tayman. A U.S. Army veteran and a graduate of Southeastern University, Bond worked as a wholesale paper salesman for over 30 years at Butler Paper Company. He was a member of Ss. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church. He was also a nautical enthusiast and an avid reader; he especially enjoyed history books. Bond is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Rika P. Tayman; his devoted daughter, Victoria Bickford and his sister Lettie Zaffaroni, both of Davidsonville; five grandsons, Daniel, Johnathan, Christian, Caleb and Joshua Bickford, all of Davidsonville; and three granddaughters, Emily Bickford of Annapolis and Sarah and Anna Bickford of Davidsonville. Friends are invited to celebrate Bond’s life at the Kalas Funeral Home & Crematory, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD on Monday, April 15 from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 p.m. A funeral service will be held at Ss. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church, 2747 Riva Road, Annapolis, MD 21401 on Tuesday, April 16 at 11 a.m. Interment Lakemont Memorial Gardens, Davidsonville.
