Audrey Ann Gray - Obituary

udrey Ann Gray, "Nee", a 47-year resident of Beverly Beach, Mayo, MD and previously of Washington, D.C., died at her home on June 12, 2016, of lung cancer following a brief illness. She was 74. Born April 16, 1942, in Washington, D.C., she graduated from Anacostia High School in 1960. Audrey was employed at Nationwide Insurance in Washington, D.C., where she retired following 12 years of service. She was a longtime member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Edgewater, MD. Audrey enjoyed gardening, collecting antiques and cooking. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert "Chappy" Gray on November 2, 2007, and her mother, Eunice Williams. She is survived by a son, Robert K. Johnson and his wife, Lorraine of Mayo, MD; two daughters, Cheryl L. Tate of Mayo, MD and Linda L. Davies of Severna Park, MD; her former husband, Kenneth Johnson; eight grandchildren, Robert K., Robby, Chris and Angela C. Johnson, Andrea E. Orcuso and Amanda L., Angel C. and Alicia A. Tate; and six great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, June 17 at 11am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 515 Loch Haven Road, Edgewater, MD. Interment Lakemont Memorial Gardens.
