Barbara Cookson - Obituary

arbara Ann Cookson, 61, a 5 year resident of Annapolis, MD and previously of Phoenix, AZ died at her home in Annapolis, MD on July 8, 2008 of metastatic breast cancer. She was born in Phoenix, AZ on October 16, 1946. She was a real estate agent for the Eastport office of Prudential Realty for two years, after that she worked for E-Realty & Realty Watch. She established and operated a Greek restaurant in California because she loved to belly dance. Her hobbies included sailing and dancing. Barbara is survived by her husband John T. Cookson and is the beloved daughter of Emily Leibowick of Fresno, CA and the late Ellis Casabar; mother of Zac Shepherd of Phoenix, AZ and Shmaine Posey of Prescott, AZ; sister of Ellis Casabar of Portland, OR, Rod Casabar of Fresno, CA and Annette Ziener of Phoenix, AZ. Survived by 3 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at a later date in Arizona.
