Barbara Gladys Frick - Obituary

arbara "Barb" Gladys Frick, a 31-year resident of Edgewater, MD and previously China, Japan, Azores, Turkey, Germany and India, died on Wednesday, August 31, 2016, at the Hospice of the Chesapeake Belcher Campus in Pasadena, MD. She was 78. Born July 26, 1938, at Fitkin Memorial Hospital in Neptune, NJ, to the late Gladys "Judy" Evelyn Orr and John "Jack" Clayton Orr, she graduated from Pemberton High School. Barbara was a homemaker and Navy wife. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, travelling and spending time with her family. Barbara was the beloved wife, of 56 years, of Frederick C. Frick; mother of Kevin Frick of Lexington Park, MD, Kimberly (Neil) Frick Osowsky of Trophy Club, TX, Janet (Dayton) Frick of Elkridge, MD, Christine Earley of Solomons Island, MD and Elaine (Nelson) Couto of Owings, MD; sister of Janice Sharp, Arlene Lavalle and the late Phyllis Earley; grandmother of Lauren and Ryleigh Wilson, Leah Osowsky, Blake Couto, Sydney and Marek Nance and Meaghan Frick; and great-grandmother of Leland Holland. Friends are invited to celebrate Barbara's life from 6 to 8 pm on Sunday, September 4 at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD.
