Barbara M. Graham - Obituary

arbara Merie Graham, 83, a more than 30 year resident of Dunkirk, MD and formerly of Silver Spring, MD, passed away at her home, on Wednesday, May 5, 2021, surrounded by her family. Barbara was born on February 20, 1938 in Rockville, MD to the late Russell and Hilda Gray. She was a graduate of Montgomery Blair High School. She was a self made business owner of a glass company, and co-owner of an industrial park in Upper Marlboro and bookkeeper at Johns Hopkins. Barbara was a devoted wife to her husband, Roger. Together they were entrepreneurs, and enjoyed creating and managing businesses. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Roger A. Graham of Dunkirk, MD; her children, Jeffrey Graham of Grasonville, MD, Kelley Helmendach of Charlotte, NC and Rusty Graham of Dunkirk, MD; her sister, Carolyn Swindell of Brandywine, MD; her 8 grandchildren, Dustin, Steven, Emily and Morgan Graham, Connor, Kyle and Cameron Helmendach and 5 great-grandchildren, Jaxson, Kaylin, Collin, Noah, and Kai. A celebration of Barbara’s life is being planned. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to her favorite charity, St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
