Barbara Manos - Obituary

arbara Lorraine Manos of Annapolis, MD passed away unexpectedly on October 26, 2015, surrounded by her loving family. She leaves to mourn her passing her husband of 55 years, Pete L. Manos; two daughters, Helene Manos of Annapolis and Cindy Manos and husband, Mark of Millersville, MD; her beloved grandson, Anthony; brother, Richard Isper of Ohio and sister, Sandra Caldwell of Virginia; along with many other family, friends and loving pets. Barbara received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Connecticut and went on to pursue a career in teaching. Her true calling though was her family. She was a loving and dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. Barbara’s strength and wisdom were the foundation of the Manos family. She was devoted to Pete, raising their children, and caring for her grandchild. Barbara loved life and all that it had to offer. She brought joy to many and will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched. The family will receive guests from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, October 30 at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD. Barbara's funeral service will be held at 9am on Saturday, October 31 at Ss. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church, 2747 Riva Road, Annapolis, MD. Interment Lakemont Memorial Gardens.
