Barbara Ann Tucker - Obituary

arbara Ann Tucker, 75, a resident of Annapolis, MD for fifty-three years and previously of Prince Frederick, MD died on Friday, April 5 at her home after a two and a half year struggle with cancer. Born on January 3, 1949 in Prince Frederick to the late Charles Reverdy and Doris Mae Hall, Barbara graduated high school and worked as a special needs aide and a nurse’s aide for Anne Arundel County Public Schools. She also served as the executive director for Love in Action. A member of Bay Area Community Church, Barbara enjoyed gardening, dancing with the Showstoppers, reading and senior league bowling. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Randy Catterton. Barbara is survived by her husband of more than fifty-one years, Thornton N. Tucker, Jr.; her children, Ronnie Catterton of Maryland, Thornton N. Tucker, III of Lexington, SC and Patricia Drake of Annapolis, MD; her brothers, Charles Hall of Prince Frederick, MD, Donald Hall of Dunkirk, MD and Raymond Hall of Sunderland, MD; her grandchildren, Trey, Trent and Hailey Drake, Hudson and Peyton Filipowicz, Jonathan and Joie Tucker, Autumn Moody, Rebecca Allaband, Sharayah Davis, Jennifer McDonald, Harmony Ott and Rachel Smith and 10 great-grandchildren. Friends are invited to celebrate Barbara’s life on Thursday, April 18 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm at the Kalas Funeral Home & Crematory, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD where her funeral service will be held on Friday at 11 am.
