Barbara Williams - Obituary

arbara Ann Williams, age 73, a 14 year resident of Upper Marlboro and previously of Forestville, passed away on Saturday March 1, 2008, at her home from complications of Alzheimer's Disease. Born on May 15, 1934 in Washington, D.C to Albert and Mary Yowell, she graduated from Jefferson High School in Washington, D.C. She worked as a manager of the Army & Navy Surplus Store in Washington, D.C. She received the Mother of Life award as voted on by her family. She was a member of Mt.Calvary Catholic Church in District Heights, MD. She enjoyed shopping, especially buying jewelry, craft shows, going out to dinner, and loved the chocolate éclairs from the WigWam Bakery in Waldorf, MD. She is survived by her husband of 52 years Donald T. Williams of Upper Marlboro, MD, her daughters Brenda Callahan of Severna Park, MD, Theresa Wilson of Lothian, MD, Vicki Holdaway also of Lothian, and her sons Dale Williams of Upper Marlboro and Ernie Williams of Lothian, MD, and 11 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brother Pat Yowell. Relatives and friends are invited to Barbara's Life Celebration on Tuesday March 4, 2008 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home 2973 Solomons Island Rd. Edgewater, MD where funeral services will be held on Wednesday March 5, 2008 at 12:00 Noon. Interment Ft. Lincoln Cemetery, Brentwood, MD.
