Barr P. Healy - Obituary

arr Peter Healy, 91 years old, passed away peacefully at his home in Edgewater, MD, December 19, 2021. Barr was born on September 6, 1930, in Los Angeles, California. He and his brother also lived with their parents in Coral Gables, FL and Galveston, TX. Barr had degrees in Logic and Philosophy and attended Loyola and Stanford Universities in California. Sailing was one of Barr’s great passions. He spent many years cruising on his sailboats in both the United States and Latin America. Barr is pre-deceased by his parents Joseph and Mae Healy, his brother Dale, and his daughter Noel. He is survived by his wife Roxana; and his children Dan, Karen, Mark, Michele, Sean, Marcela; and grandchildren Michael, David, Tyler, and Giana. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, December 23, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 515 Loch Haven Road, Edgewater, MD 21037.
